New City Vision Press Release

GARTLOCH VILLAGE TRANSFORMED INTO GARTLOCH FEST FOR EXCLUSIVE WEEKEND EVENT

May 26 2008

-Two day festival of food, music and fun arrives at New City Vision development-

An open air barbecue, a music roadshow and a mini zoo are not sights normally associated with new residential property developments. Neither are rickshaw rides and face painters but that is all set to change as New City Vision prepares for the arrival of Gartloch Fest.

On the weekend of 31st May and 1st June, one of Scotland’s most innovative property developers will bring a two day festival of activity to its Gartloch Village development on the outskirts of Glasgow. Situated just minutes from the Glasgow Fort shopping centre, New City Vision is staging a weekend of free entertainment designed to appeal to people from all generations.

Nestled in 100 acres of countryside, the development lends itself perfectly to the planned activities. With its picturesque loch, sprawling woodlands and vast green open space, visitors will be able to relax, soak up the natural beauty and be entertained at the same time.

A chauffeured rickshaw will be on hand both days to enable visitors to get a feel for the eight impressive hamlets that make up Gartloch Village.  A marquee, patisserie area, bouncy castle and children’s roundabout will also help keep visitors occupied. A candy floss machine and giant games in the form of Snakes & Ladders will also make an appearance alongside llamas, donkeys and rabbits at the Gartloch Fest mini zoo.

Sandra McGuire, group sales and marketing director for New City Vision, said: “Gartloch Fest is designed to be a fun filled weekend that will showcase not only the unique homes at Gartloch Village but the stunning setting which it occupies.

“This event will allow visitors to roam the grounds at their leisure whilst taking in a whole host of activity. From the mini zoo and open air barbecue to the face painters and music roadshow, Gartloch Fest will have something for everyone.”

Gartloch Village is just a 10 minute drive from Glasgow city centre and comprises a mix of contemporary new build homes and original Victorian, Grade A listed buildings which have been restored and transformed into unique properties. With everything from one bedroom apartments to five bedroom family homes, the development has appeal for everyone from singles and couples, to empty nesters and growing families. Current prices at Gartloch Village range from £150,000 for a one bedroom mews to £270,000 for a four bedroom townhouse.

Gartloch Fest will begin at 11am until 4pm on both 31st May and 1st June 2008. Entry is completely free.

The Gartloch Village Sales Centre and showhomes are open seven days a week from 10am - 5.30pm and can be contacted on 0141 773 2247.  Further information can also be found by visiting www.newcityvision.co.uk
