Dawn Homes Press ReleaseA NEW DAWN FOR GOWKTHRAPPLEJune 10 2008
![]() Leading Scottish housebuilder, Dawn Homes, has announced plans for an exciting new development of homes in the village of Gowkthrapple, as part of a wider regeneration initiative for the area.
‘Castlehill Road,’ when complete, will comprise 55 three-bedroom semi-detached and terraced homes, 25 of which will be owned by Garrion People’s Housing Co-operative.
The development will cater for a wide variety of tastes, featuring ‘Kintyre’ and ‘Turnberry’ house styles which provide every conceivable feature for growing families, such as plentiful storage, separate dining rooms and generously-proportioned gardens.
Representing the meticulous attention to detail that house hunters have come to expect from Dawn Homes, each home comes complete with paved driveways, turfed front gardens and rear patios as standard, with an excellent range of contemporary kitchens and bathrooms to choose from.
The regeneration of Gowkthrapple aims to create a vibrant community that offers local facilities, improved physical qualities and good local access to services. The development lies just 21 miles from Glasgow’s city centre, rendering it an ideal location for those who commute to work.
John Mulholland, director, Garrion People’s Housing Co-operative, commented: “We selected Dawn Homes as our partner for this project due to the value for money and exceptional quality of their homes, and we are extremely pleased with the relationship we have established.
“Dawn Homes’ ‘Castlehill Road’ development will be a real achievement for Gowkthrapple and a catalyst for change, supporting the wider regeneration plans for the area and encouraging future developments. We hope to support a sustainable new vision for Gowkthrapple, and the development will breathe life into an area that has suffered from an undeserved negative reputation in the past.”
Martin Egan, Dawn Homes’ managing director, added: “I am pleased that Dawn Homes will play a major part in helping to deliver regeneration plans for this area and look forward to continuing to working closely with Garrion People’s Housing Co-operative to ensure their success. We expect this development to attract a great deal of interest both locally and from the surrounding areas."
The sales launch is scheduled for Summer 2008. For further information, or to be added to the mailing list, please telephone Dawn Homes on 0141 285 6700. |
