CALA Homes Press Release

SHOWHOMES UNVEILED AT FARRIERS WAY

December 23 2009

--- Nine homes reserved since showhomes launched three weeks ago ---

CALA has unveiled two stunning new showhomes at Farriers Way in Jackton.

The interior designer, Sian Woodfine of Cambridge-based Marren Interiors has added her magic to the five-bedroom Maxwell housetype and the four-bedroom Dunbar to create truly exceptional showhomes.

The ground floor of the detached, 2,257 sq ft Maxwell home features a spacious dining area to the front of the house. In the large formal living room Sian has expertly used black and gold tones by adding gold wallpaper, mixed with a black and gold sofa and solid black units and accessories to create a luxurious room to relax or entertain in.

Sian Woodfine said: “We have designed the Maxwell to be an opulent, decadent and aspirational home. Through the use of bold black and gold accessories we have created an atmospheric and luxurious interior that is very welcoming.”

In the open-plan family living area and kitchen the designer has continued the theme of black, cream and gold. Black high gloss kitchen units complement the interiors. The home features a European designer kitchen and includes stylish integrated stainless steel appliances from Siemens.

“Mixing a high gloss contemporary styled kitchen, with more traditional furniture, creates an ideal entertaining space”, adds Sian.

A comfy black sofa by the French doors creates a perfect entertaining and family space which leads onto a decked area and garden. A separate utility room gives access to the integral garage.

Upstairs, a lavish master bedroom features a luxurious dressing area and en-suite. In this room, the designer has used sumptuous textures such as a bespoke black velvet sleigh bed and black velvet throws. Again the colour theme has been continued in this room with gold wallpaper and black accessories to help create an oriental theme.

The gallery landing leads onto three further bedrooms, one with en-suite,  a separate study/fifth bedroom and family bathroom. Each of the bathrooms feature stylish, contemporary sanitary ware and convenient fitted furniture.

Linda Peter, Sales and Marketing Director for CALA Homes West said: “Sian has created two unique showhomes with outstanding style to suit different tastes. Since their launch three weeks ago we have received nine reservations which is testament to CALA’s superior style and specification.”

In the Dunbar showhome, Sian has created a contemporary home. In the living room the designer has combined a duck egg blue with chocolate brown interior and splashes of cream. The room also features retro brown furniture and tweed effect sofas.

In the dining room the blue and chocolate tones have been combined with silver accessories and a large glass dining table which creates a relaxed and bright space.

Throughout the home Sian has also used a light brown carpet to enhance the blue tones.

Sian said: “In the Dunbar we have created a highly contemporary family home that it believable and achievable for today’s buyer to replicate. It has great classic appeal through the use of duck egg blue tones but is given a modern spin with the chocolate browns.”

The kitchen and family living area features stylish Zebrano units and matching splash backs combined with silver accessories and cream Karndean flooring. A utility room leads onto a double garage with French doors giving access to a large garden and decking area.

Upstairs, the spacious landing includes a settle which has been converted into a study area to maximise the space in the home.

The master bedroom features light blue, brown and white tones. A black and white feature wall complements the veined ash walnut bedroom units. The room includes extensive wardrobe space and an en-suite with separate bath and shower enclosure. Three further bedrooms, one with en-suite and a family bathroom completes this floor.

Prices at Farriers Way start at £359,000, for a four bedroom Dunbar with the Maxwell available at £395,000.

The showhomes and customer reception at Farriers Way are open daily, 11am to 5.30am, telephone 0845 409 1455, www.calahomes.co.uk
