Westpoint Announce Show Home Opening at Strathcona Drive

Leading property developer Westpoint Homes has unveiled a showhome at its Strathcona Drive development in Glasgow’s West End, situated to the North of Anniesland Cross.

Style-conscious homebuyers looking for excellent value for money and an ultra-convenient location are sure to be impressed when they step into the two-bedroom en-suite apartment in the development’s first phase.

With an incredible 70% of apartments already reserved, the show home opening is set to result in even more sales before the summer. The brand new show home is an example (Ref Type 2) of one of five apartment styles featured at the development and with the same apartment style available in the final phase, homebuyers can now view the show home and get a better feel for what they are buying into.

The ultra-chic apartment’s design makes for an excellent use of space with shimmering, pearlised wallpaper and chrome light fittings in the hall giving the apartment a bright, airy feel.

The living room features ultra-trendy seating, coffee table, console unit and contemporary free-standing monochrome lamps with various pieces of artwork and bespoke furniture. The objective was to create a homely feel; the sort of space you wouldn’t be afraid to sit back and enjoy, taking in the space and its potential.

Slide-aside beech doors divide the living room from the kitchen giving homeowners the option of a separate kitchen and lounge area, or once opened, creating a seamless space connecting the two.

The kitchen features an integrated oven, hob, hood, fridge freezer and washer dryer, all of which come as standard within a particularly impressive specification – a point of difference that is fast becoming synonymous with any new Westpoint home. The kitchen cabinets are finished with  Reflections Cream Gloss’ doors and designer chrome ironmongery, whilst the worktop and matching surrounds are in medium walnut, blending in perfectly with the Beaumont Oak flooring that runs throughout the lounge and kitchen area.

Off the hall, a large three-piece shower room with feature mirror, Porcelanosa tiling and Scope sanitaryware will exceed all expectations given its clean lines and stylish finish.

The master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, however, steals the show. The bedroom’s floor space, size of window  and impressive built-in wardrobe provision represents excellent value.

The bed-head wall features wallpaper with a subtle animal print motif in dusky pink and mink, highlighted with flashes of black and white in the rest of the room. With accessories that provide a hint of vintage boudoir, the room oozes glamour.

How the space links through to the very large en-suite with bath and feature mirror is also noteworthy. Sparkling, bright white decor in the en-suite bathroom is accented with grey and monochrome tiling and accessories, whilst a neat, glossy white vanity unit under the sink provides a handy finishing touch.

The second bedroom boasts a fitted mirrored wardrobe and pretty décor that brings the room to life. A clean white canvas is interrupted by pops of candy colours – including sugary pink and lilac – in the cushions, curtains and ornaments.

The first-class fittings and fixtures in the show home will be replicated as standard across the entire Strathcona Drive development. Highlights include contemporary sanitaryware, Porcelanosa tiling, oven, hob and hood, fridge freezer and washer dryer. All apartments feature fitted wardrobes in both bedrooms and either an en-suite bathroom and separate shower room, or en suite shower room with separate bathroom. Parking spaces are allocated to each home.

Buyers can stamp their own personal style on their new home, with scope to choose from an extensive range of kitchen cabinetry, worktops, tiles, ironmongery, and paint colours.

Prices at Strathcona Drive start from just £148,000 making these apartments perfect for those who want excellent value for money without compromising on location, style, space and specification.

An extra boost for homebuyers is Westpoint’s Easy Plan incentive which covers buyers’ legal and survey fees up to £1000; the ideal solution for those who may have a mortgage in place but haven’t made the provision for the smaller outlays that are frequently overlooked and not budgeted for.

And with move in dates from as early as May 2010, homebuyers could be living the dream West End lifestyle sooner than they think.
