Mactaggart & Mickel Homes is urging first time buyers who want to step onto the property ladder in 2012 to move quickly.  The relief on Stamp Duty Land Tax for first time buyers on properties under £250,000 is coming to an end on 25 March.  This means that after this date househunters will have to pay 1% of the price of their new home in tax potentially adding as much as £2,500 onto their moving costs.
