CALA Strikes Confident Note for 2012 With Launch of Major National TV Campaign

Significant Marketing Drive Set To Build on Homes Sales’ Success

CALA Homes is to start the New Year on a confident note with the launch of a high profile national marketing campaign which is set to build on the company’s sales success in 2011.

For the first time ever in Scotland, CALA is to embark on a major TV advertising drive. The 30-second TV advertisement, filmed in one of CALA’s five-bedroom showhomes, is designed to bring the CALA Homes’ brand to life by showcasing the quality of lifestyle the homes can offer. The commercial went live on January 21 on STV across all Scottish regions, with additional spots on the national Good Food channel.

The TV advert is part of CALA’s current marketing campaign “The Time Is Now – Just Ask CALA” which communicates to potential homebuyers that the CALA home they aspire to is achievable. It is supported by increased investment in online media promotion, including the launch of mobile and ‘tablet’ versions of the CALA website, as well as press, radio, outdoor posters and direct mail.

CALA’s National Sales and Marketing Director Sue Parry welcomed the new campaign launch.  “These are exciting times for CALA Homes – across Scotland and the whole of the UK,” she says. “With the launch of our first ever TV advertisement in Scotland and a substantial increase in on-line activity, the new campaign builds on a highly successful year for the company in 2011.

“There is a lot of latent demand out there – and people are just waiting for the right time to move to a CALA home.  And we are saying that the time is now!”

The new marketing campaign is a continuation of the successful ‘Just Ask CALA’ theme, launched in 2011, which helped deliver a 12% annual increase in UK home sales since 1 July 2011.  ‘The Time Is Now’ campaign has been designed to carry the positive sales momentum into the critical new year selling period by injecting a sense of urgency into the sales message. It confirms that CALA is pledging everything in its power to make this dream move possible - including offering a wide range of incentives such as part-exchange, stamp duty and legal fees paid, and assisted deposits*.

CALA begins 2012 with confidence having contracted 20 new sites for future developments last year, mainly for detached family housing. Together, this is forecast to deliver more than 1,000 new homes and generate revenues exceeding £350 million.

CALA also began development on 12 sites which are contributing to the company’s first homes of the New Year. These include the exclusive Trinity Park development in Edinburgh, which will feature a range of Georgian inspired homes on the outskirts of the city’s New Town, and a development of 12 exclusive five and six-bedroom homes in Thortonhall in South Lanarkshire.

In 2011, CALA was ranked highest amongst major UK house-builders for both customer service and health and safety.
