CALA Homes News Release

CALA Homes Defies Market Predictions

January 24 2008

Premier housebuilder, CALA Homes has reported recent sales which offer a welcome antidote to the current gloomy speculation on the property market in Scotland.

Traditionally the market for new homes is slow to pick up following the post Christmas lull, however in the first three weeks of 2008, CALA has already sold 40 homes across the country at a total market value of more than £17 million.

The West of Scotland has been particularly buoyant enjoying sales worth more than £8 million in the last two weeks alone which is 20% up on the same period last year. Developments attracting buyers include: Canniesburn, Bearsden: Farriers Way, East Kilbride; Kinnaird Village, Larbert and The Meadows at Stirling.

Gerry More, Regional Chairman, CALA Homes Scotland said “I am delighted that our sales performance since the start of the year appears to contradict the pessimistic outlook reported widely in the media.    Our homes have always enjoyed a great reputation as sound investments and this gives our customers confidence in the housing market.”
