Developer makes its mark with striking new development in Carmyle Avenue, Glasgow-
A new housebuilder has marked its arrival in Scotland by taking the wraps off a new multi-million pound development situated just 10 minutes from Glasgow city centre.
Merchant Homes - recently formed by Alan Brander, the previous managing director of Persimmon Partnerships (Scotland), and a team of the country’s most experienced industry professionals - has released a selection of two and three bedroom apartments at its Park Court development in Carmyle Avenue, Glasgow.
The company has just unveiled its contemporary new product and attracted attention from a flurry of househunters over the opening weeks. The development will feature 48 properties ranging from two and three bedroom apartments with prices ranging from £142,000 to £173,000. Move in dates for selected properties will be as early as July 2008.
Underpinning all of the Merchant Homes properties is quality design and generous living space with the smallest two bedroom on offer reaching nearly 740sqft. The team behind the design believe the high standards and specification of work as well as the competitive price will capture the interest of the home buying public.
Linda McLuskie, who has held senior positions with some of the UK’s largest housebuilders, is a co-founder of Merchant Homes and will head up the sales and marketing function. She said: “Merchant Homes was formed on the basis of creating and delivering quality homes that meet the needs of today’s buyers. We’re passionate about our product and the quality of workmanship in each and every home. All our properties offer spacious living areas and come as standard with all the extras that normally push the price of a new build home up.
“Homebuyers at Park Court will be able to walk into a stylish apartment with integrated SMEG appliances, Porcelanosa tiling, downlighters and double showers – all included in the purchase price. We’re a specialist builder providing a unique product for modern househunters that demand high standards and all the finishing touches. These properties hold real appeal for a variety of lifestyles and the central location makes for an overall attractive package.”
Park Court’s 48 apartments will feature over six separate blocks with homebuyers being able to choose from three styles of apartments including the two bedroom Beech and Cedar as well as the three bedroom Ash. All properties feature en-suite facilities, door entry systems and come with allocated parking spaces.
Park Court is the first development unveiled by Merchant Homes with further roll-outs planned across Glasgow and West Central Scotland in 2008. Alan Brander, Merchant Homes managing director, is also joined by John Jack, as commercial director and Russell Ferguson as finance director.
