Homebuilder Redrow has announced the launch of its Riverside Point development in Braehead, which it states is a "paradise for shop-a-holics".

The site will eventually comprise 342 properties and is within walking distance of the nearby shopping and leisure centre as well as the Xscape family entertainments centre.

Homes on the development will include apartments, two and three-bedroom semidetached and terraced houses, three and four-bed townhouses and four-bedroom detached villas.

Sales director for Redrow Homes (Scotland) Diana Newton comments: "Riverside Point is an exciting development of stylish, modern homes and we will be offering something to suit all tastes."

The development is convenient for Glasgow city centre as well as the M8, which offers transport links to the motorway network and Glasgow International Airport.

Elsewhere in the region, homebuilder George Wimpey announced that properties are now on sale at its Victoria Gardens development in Airdire in Glasgow.
