Housebuilder George Wimpey has announced the availability of the first homes on its first development in Bonnyrigg, Midlothian.
The Chesters offers 42 two and three-bedroom properties within commuting distance of Edinburgh in a range of seven different styles.
Karen Armstrong, sales and marketing director for George Wimpey East Scotland, explains that the firm expects the development to be popular due to its location near the capital.
"We're expecting The Chesters to be a popular choice for families looking for more space to call their own. Bonnyrigg offers the beauty of a small village, with the convenience of the city of Edinburgh just a short drive or commute away," she adds.
Prices on the properties start at £195,000 for a two-bedroom semidetached home.
Elsewhere in the region, homebuilder Charles Church recently announced the availability of a number of properties on its De Quincey Court site, located on the south-east side of Edinburgh.
