Homebuilder George Wimpey has announced that the second phase of properties has gone on sale at its Orchard Grove development in south Lanarkshire.

A total of 52 three-bedroom semi-detached houses are newly available on the site, with prices beginning at £148,000.

The village of Blackwood, where the homes are situated, is a short commute from areas such as Hamilton, Motherwell and Glasgow, the homebuilder reports.

Michelle Logie, sales and marketing director for George Wimpey West Scotland, explains that there is a range of community-based activities going on in the area, involving the local schools and the nearby Leisuredome.

"Our previous phases at Orchard Grove and neighbouring development The Pines have been overwhelmingly successful, and I'm sure both new and existing customers will be keen to see what we have to offer in this new exciting phase of the development," she adds.

Elsewhere in the region, the firm recently announced the availability of properties on its Victoria Gardens development in Airdrie, Glasgow.
