Homebuilder Barratt has announced a number of incentives for buyers at a number of its developments in the central Scotland region.

The firm's Ashdale development in Kilmarnock offers a three-bedroom terraced townhouse from £185,000 and a four-bedroom detached villa with a garage from £196,995.

Meanwhile, the Grangewood development in Kilwinning provides two-bedroom flats from £113,995 and four-bedroom semidetached villas from £188,995.

Barratt west Scotland sales director Stuart MacColl states: "For a limited period, buyers can choose from a number of options at both of these popular developments, including five per cent deposit paid, £500 monthly mortgage subsidy for 12 months, legal fees paid, furniture pack and carpets."

Mr MacColl adds that the offer, called Dream Deals, could provide homeowners with a great way to start their new life in their property.

Elsewhere in the region, homebuilder Persimmon recently announced that it is offering buyers on some of its properties the chance to live free for a year.
