Rapid success at the launch of a development in The Grange conservation area in Edinburgh has been reported by Applecross.
The property developer stated that three of the nine properties released earlier this month were sold on the first day and that interest in the site is "at its peak".
Lianne Bootland, Applecross property sales manager, said: "High-specification apartments in a prestigious location like The Grange don't come together often.
"Tanalach homebuyers have had their eye on the development for a while and moved quickly to make sure they got the home they wanted as soon as they were released."
Applecross identifies the likely target market for Tanalach as being "maturalists", buyers aged 60 and over who may have links to the area or "empty nesters" looking to downsize from a larger home.
The first residents of Tanalach, the Gaelic word meaning shallow water, are expected to move in this winter. The remaining apartments are available from around £865,000.
The Grange is one of 38 conservation areas in Edinburgh which are described by the city of Edinburgh council as "areas of special architectural or historic interest".
