Tulloch Homes is beginning work on a new development in Lanarkshire comprising 33 apartments in Bent Road, Hamilton.

Based in Inverness and Glasgow, developer Tulloch Homes is beginning construction on the former hockey pitch at Hamilton rugby club close to existing sandstone villas in the town centre.

Due to be called Maple Court, the site will include many properties with en suite facilities for master bedrooms as well as full-length living room windows, with two and three-bedroom options available.

Sales manager for Tulloch Homes Carol Martin commented: "Maple Court is an excellent location, ideal for our spacious, contemporary apartments."

Ms Martin added that flats are growing in popularity and that due to the range of styles and sizes available she expected the properties to appeal to a variety of buyers including single people, couples, downsizers and young families.

The firm recently added a number of properties to its Torwood Gardens development at Larbert, near Falkirk.
