Applecross announced new terrace development near Penicuik

August 31, 2007
A new development of terraced properties overlooking the River Esk at Eskbridge, near Penicuik has been announced by homebuilder Applecross.

The 77-property development consists of three blocks of six terraced rows of Thirlstane homes.

Thirlstane houses include a master bedroom with en suite facilities, family bathroom and split-level landscaped garden accessible through French doors. Three-bedroom Thirlstane homes are priced at £230,000.

Head of sales at Applecross Lianne Bootland commented: "These terraced properties are proving very popular as starter home for families looking to enjoy the benefits of country living whilst still having easy access to Edinburgh and the city bypass."

Benefits of the site include a lack of traffic due to a no-through road - meaning that the only vehicles on the development will be those of its residents - access to cycle paths and walkways around the nearby river and a range of schools within walking distance.

Earlier this month, Applecross announced success on the launch of its Tanalach development in the Grange conservation area in Edinburgh.
