Housebuilder Stewart Milne Homes has launched two new developments near Glasgow, with a combined total of 260 homes, it has been announced.

Ardgowan Rise is situated on an elevated countryside site in the village of Inverkip, yet despite the seemingly rural location a commute into Glasgow "is made easy" due to "excellent" infrastructure links, the firm explains.

Prices on the properties range from around £173,000 to £236,000.

The second development, Morningside Gardens, is located some 15 miles south-east of Glasgow and comprises three and four-bedroom villas with prices ranging from £154,000 to around £220,000.

Marlyn Boal, sales and marketing director for the firm, commented: "Both developments offer a wide range of styles and designs to suit all tastes and demands, along with all the essential requirements for modern family living."

Also this month, the housebuilder has announced "great interest" from consumers in a development called The Orchard at Hairmyres in South Lanarkshire.
