Homes have gone up for sale at a new development in North Ayrshire, it has been announced.

A range of properties including 41 apartments and 31 three and four-bedroom family homes are available at the Harbour in Ardrossan, according to homebuilder George Wimpey.

The firm reports that good local infrastructure and transport links make a commute to nearby areas, including Glasgow, "a breeze".

Michelle Logie, sales and marketing director for George Wimpey west Scotland comments: "This development offers a comprehensive mix of apartments and family homes, which are designed to be attractive to a wide range of customers who're keen to enjoy waterside living in this great coastal town."

She adds that there has already been a great deal of interest from local customers and as such advises anyone interested in the development to move quickly.

In recent weeks, housebuilder Stewart Milne Homes launched two new developments near Glasgow called Morningside Gardens and Ardgowan Rise.
